Hello and Goodbye, Dear Readers!
It’s been a wonderful 17 years!
That being said, it’s time for me to move on to other ventures, and turn this publication over to “new blood.”
Beth Burrell, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, will be your new editor, starting with the spring edition. Please give her a call or shoot her an email: 319-239-3736 or elementportraits@cfu.net.
Many thanks to everyone who has supported the publication in such a variety of ways over the years. I truly appreciate everyone's input, friendship, and contributions. I will miss you all!
Keep riding and continue learning about your beloved animals! - Carol Eilers
This website is kindly created and maintained by Scott Eilers, who also happens to be my son. Here you will find sample articles from the current issue, and a Past Articles section as well, where you can access a smattering of archived articles from previous issues. Included throughout are articles about health, nutrition, activities, legislation, training, first-person experiences, and so much more. There is something for everyone in Apples ‘n Oats!
Thank you for visiting our site!

Hello All -
I wanted to write and tell you what I am now planning for Apples ‘n Oats magazine. It has been a very hard decision for me to make, but I have decided to reform the magazine into an online-only publication. The online magazine, now entitled Equine Daily News, will be found at www.equinedailynews.com.
Here, you will find daily updates, creative articles, and beautiful equine imagery. In addition, opportunities for inexpensive advertising that will link directly to your website, starting at only $25 a month, will be featured! If you are interested in becoming a writer or advertising in the new online publication, please contact me, Beth Burrell, at 319-239-3736.
